For the first time in forty-one years, I am not at the Fall Conference as it kicks off tonight. My prayers are for the record number of students who are at Webster Conference Center in Salina and for Gordon and Gail MacDonald as they speak.
Early tomorrow morning I will drive to Salina for a late morning and afternoon meeting with Bob Anderson and Kathy Wiebe coordinating the FRIENDS association. I look forward to one talk by Gordon MacDonald and to reading about the Fall Conference on this website.
The banner on this blog is wrong. I am no longer “Director-UNL Christian Challenge.” Joyfully, that would be Jeremy Pape. He is taking the largest group to Fall Conference in recent history. I have no remorse for stepping aside at age 66, but I am still looking for “new normal.” If you find it, let me know. I am now “Collegiate Consultant” as well as grandpa to five. There is a lot less pressure with my new job! I like it.
