I thought I would give you a quick snapshot of Christian Challenge so far this year. This picture was taken the final night of the semester with about 400 students gathered for our annual Christmas celebration. The following week our staff took a full day together out of town for a retreat. It was a great time to pray, review what God has been doing this school year, and look forward to the future. Just getting away together to slow down enough to listen to God and each other was great.
At our final leader’s training event of the semester we heard stories from the students about what is going on in their life groups. We were excited to hear that at least fifteen students have made a commitment to Christ this semester! We rejoice to see what God is doing in and through our great group of students! Recently a large group of our gang gathered at a local church to witness the baptism of a Chinese student who came to Christ through several of our students sharing the Gospel. It was an incredible night of celebration.
During the fall semester we studied the Sermon on the Mount. We feel the Lord has used this very special portion of Scripture to help us zero in on how Jesus desires us to live. During last night’s meeting we included lots of Christmas songs and some time to reflect on the incredible Christmas story. One of the parts of the story I addressed is the common theme in both Matthew and Luke that wise men and shepherds were all about worshipping the New King.
We are looking forward to what God is doing here at K-State and in KNCSB collegiate ministries throughout the spring semester. Thank you for your prayers. You are a part of God’s work on the campuses as you make an investment of prayer and support.
